I teach Feng Shui and Dowsing. I could use Wiki as a teaching tool for learners to add information themselves on a topic like Why does Stonehenge exist? What it is used for and the energy of the place.
My name's Marguerite. I do ESOL and Literacy. I think I would use the wiki for homework and particularly for project work so that students can do presentations to improve their oral competence and gain confidence.
Hi. My name is Jan. I am an an ESOL tutor at ACL. Maybe this could be used as a dictionary of words that come up during a class that need definition and spelling. Others could add words they have found difficult in the lesson. Whether I would actually ever get time to do this, I don't know.
I am a spanish tutor.
I thinks wikies would be ideal for collaborative homework where each student can incorporate different information about a topic.
i.e: Bilbao (Tourist Information).
Learner 1: Geography
Learner 2: Culture
Learner 3: Food
Learner 4: Folklore
Learner 5: Fiestas
etc.
